  • It’s God not Coincidence

My wife and I were just talking tonight about how God helped bring us together. Our Prayers and the Prayers of our parents were heard by God for sure.

It’s absolutely not a coincidence how we met, when we met, who brought us together, why we met, etc…it was God’s handiwork.

Both of us were in tuff spots before we met each other but my wife was in a truly bad situation. God used people close to us to introduce us at the right time, we fell in love and grew closer over the years strengthening our bond enough to be able to get thru very tough circumstances. My wife’s past trauma came up and God had made us strong enough to work thru this together.

None of us was a coincidence. We were brought together by God when God wanted us to meet and how. Prayers were answered and we’ve done our best to keep God at the center of our marriage and family.

  • Prayer and a Shooting Star

When I was about 17 years old my Mother was having some heart issues and it was scary for us all because her Mom (my Grandmother) had had an open heart surgery a few years prior. The tests were not going well and we were all very concerned. I remember one night clearly I went outside to take a walk to walk off some stress and worry and my girlfriend at the time joined me. I didn’t want to bother her but I started talking about how I was feeling about the test results and what we were in for in regards to options for Mom’s survival.

I/we had prayed that night earlier and just as my girlfriend and I were walking in the dark down my driveway we both looked up and saw a bright shooting star, clear as day, go across the sky in front of us…we both couldn’t believe and stood still and in awe at what had just happened as we discussed Mom. A calm feeling fell over me and I began to cry…not wanting to because I thought I’d look like a wuss lol but I couldn’t help it. I knew at that very moment God was telling me Mom would be ok. I knew with 100 percent certainty it was all going to be ok and it was.

About 18-19 years later my Mom had some pains and went in for a heart catherization and then had open heart surgery for the blockages and still lived more years until lymphoma came and took her life.

God was speaking to me that night with an answer in that one lone shooting star on our walk at that exact moment when I was sad and desperate to not lose my Mom. He answered my prayers as a teenager again.
