  • Guidance, Direction, Protection, Love, & Answers.

Part of my daily morning prayers is me asking God for guidance, direction, protection, love, and the answers I need each day.

Then I pray to God that I do all things according to His Will.
  • Pray First. Make Prayer a Priority

Every time I’ve taken my attention away from Prayer I have messed-up. In my personal life, business, and many relationships I’ve messed-up when I took my attention away from Praying about those things first.

    If I didn’t pray before a phone call…it wouldn’t go as well.

    If I didn’t pray before a conversation in person…it didn’t go well.

If I didn’t pray about what my next steps should be in business and strategy…it didn’t work out for the better.

Failure to Pray first causes failure.

  • Praying Together Before Meals

Some of my fondest memories are of family meals together. I think one of the unifying aspects of all our meals together was Prayer. Prayer brought us all together. We were all equal…all believers who were giving thanks and praying to our God for our food and time spent together at that very moment. It was peace and unity together…not just a meal.

I still love family meals together and we pray now just as we did when I was a child. I’m proud to keep these traditions going setting wonderful examples for my children and hopefully they will for their children.

  • Where your treasure is, there your heart will be

Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. These words invite us to examine not just what we say we value, but what truly holds our attention and devotion.

We live in a world that constantly encourages us to gather more—more possessions, more recognition, more security. It is easy to let our hearts become attached to things that are temporary. Yet the condition of our hearts can be measured by what we pursue most earnestly and protect most carefully.

Treasure is not limited to money or material wealth. Treasure includes our time, our energy, our thoughts, and our affections. Whatever we consistently invest in becomes the place where our hearts settle. If we invest primarily in earthly gain, our hearts will be tied to outcomes that can shift and disappear. But if we invest in what honors God—acts of compassion, generosity, obedience, and sharing the hope of Christ—our hearts become anchored in eternity.

Our real wealth is not what we accumulate, but what we dedicate to God’s purposes. Every opportunity to do good, to encourage someone, to speak truth in love, and to reflect Christ becomes eternal treasure. These investments never diminish. They endure.

The challenge is not whether we possess treasure, but whether our treasure aligns with eternal priorities. When we intentionally lay up treasure in heaven, our hearts follow—and in doing so, we discover a deeper peace and lasting joy.

“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” – Luke 12:34
