  • God Hears Our Voices In Prayer!

“Come and listen, all you who fear GOD; let me tell you what HE has done for me. I cried out to HIM with my mouth; HIS praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the LORD would not have listened; but GOD has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to GOD, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld HIS love from me!”

    – Psalm 66:16-20

  • Prayer Heals! Recent story of an ear problem healed!

When it comes to healing, God has provided an endless supply for those who ask. Sometimes healing comes instantaneously and other times we have to wait .

As an as an evangelist traveling for over 25 years. There are endless stories that I could share where I saw God do incredible things. When it comes to healing, we have to trust God to do it his way, often in the waiting people get discouraged and give up, then wondering why God never healed them. We must trust the process and allow him to do what he does best.

A recent story of healing and one that was so gratifying was a dear sister in my church. She had been suffering for a few months with one of her ears being stopped up the doctors tried everything drops procedures, antibiotics nothing seemed to help then she found herself getting worse as the other ear was beginning to close off as well. With her hearing fading, she become very discouraged and almost out of faith, but that Sunday morning The Lord impressed upon me to go over and lay my hands on her ears and command them to open in his name so I obeyed. I laid my hands on her ears, prayed that God would open them. I went back to my seat because I know that I’m not the healer. Later in the service she reached over excitedly and said, “my ears just popped open. I can hear better now than I did before this started.”That was probably a month ago and today her ears are still open!

If you trust God and believe in him, the miracles that he can perform are endless never give up just keep holding on and you too will see Him move in your life.

  • God is our Refuge. Trust in Him.

“Trust in HIM at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to HIM, for GOD is our refuge.”

    – Psalm 62:8

So many times in my life have I trusted God and things would work out for the better. It didn’t usually go as I had planned but it went as HE, GOD, planned it to go.

Having Faith in God is what gets us thru. Prayer to God, those conversations with God, the desperate outpouring of emotions to our God is what helps us get on track and stay the course…Faith and Prayer is how we make it thru the tough times.

    God is our refuge.

  • My two youngest got Baptized Sunday

My two youngest, of my four kids, got Baptized this past Sunday. It was a beautiful day with close family and friends being so supportive and loving. I’m so proud of them for making this decision on their own like I did as a kid.

Leading up to the Baptisms was a tuff week. I felt like I was being attacked all week from a few people and issues that weren’t from me. The night before and early morning hours of the Baptisms I was having unsettling dreams that seemed to be from the guy downstairs so I prayed to The Man Upstairs, my God, for safety and protection of my kids, all of them, and all of my family because it was a dark attack I was feeling for days. I prayed for my two youngest to make it to their Baptisms and stay safe. Without going into detail these attacks were something I haven’t felt so intense before and it’s been happening for weeks. So many things that could go wrong did go wrong or at least tried too. So many people tried to take the wind out of my sails but it didn’t happen…with prayer and Faith I was able to overcome these attacks.

I’m not an alarmist or some supernatural strange believer but I know what I was feeling and it was not good, it wasn’t light… it was darkness. Prayer was and is my go-to and this past week it gave me strength and peace in times of some very uncomfortable situations.

I told my wife about this the morning of the Baptisms and she prayed for us all too. I didn’t want to say anything all week because I didn’t want to alarm her. I’m so very lucky to have such a wonderful wife who is equally yoked with me.
  • This past week…

This past week was full of so many ups and downs…many downs. I felt like I was getting hit from every direction from so many things and people that weren’t healthy and right. I prayed hard all week and stayed true to what was right, what was healthy, what was honest and things worked out in business and in personal matters.

The easy path would have been to avoid or cave in and go with what the world was doing but I simply couldn’t and I can’t. I have to stand up for what’s right and many times it makes me a target by others but with prayer and my Faith I made it thru the week getting so much accomplished and many issues settled.

    1. What has prayer done for you?

From an early age, I was exposed to prayer. Growing up in a single-parent home with a mother who entered adulthood with limited resources and very few positive influences, my environment began to change when she established membership at a local church and received salvation through Jesus Christ. From that point, I witnessed a newfound lifestyle develop before my eyes. My mother became deliberate in reading her bible and incorporating prayer sessions in our home. Because of this, over time and through this custom, I witnessed her overcome obstacles that would have otherwise destroyed a family. These changes inspired me to establish my own prayer life and acquire a sure foundation in Christ at an early age. Now, prayer has become an intimate place that I can assemble at God’s feet, reveal my flaws, and trust that he will never leave me nor forsake me (Heb.
    13:5).

I recall a period in my life when, due to poor decision-making, things were troublesome, and I needed a miracle from God. I had made premature decisions that could have cost me my family and my sanity. Simply put, I was faced with a situation where the only outcome was proven to be catastrophic and irreparable, so I thought. But God! Out of desperation, I went to God in prayer and requested an intimate moment with him. First, I offered thanksgiving followed by completely exposing myself to Him, flaws and all. Although I did not deserve it, during this moment of truth, God forgave me and provided me with instructions along with a new perspective. Long story short, although I cannot recall when God fixed it, without notice or invitation, my situation changed for the better. Not only did God fix my situation, but he also allowed me to reclaim the hope and strength that I lost.

    2. Why do you pray?

The reason I pray is that, not until recently, I discovered that I cannot afford not to.

Prayer is where I connect with God. It is where he develops and cultivates the purpose he has placed inside of me. Likewise, it is where I receive instructions and strength. Although I’ve faced many obstacles in my life, prayer is where God reminds me that he will never leave me, nor forsake me (Heb. 13:5). Also, it’s where He reminds that the steps of a righteous man are ordered by Him (Psa. 37:23).

Finally, prayer is where God reminds me to consistently think on things that are true, honest, pure, lovely, and are of good report (Phi. 4:8).

    3. Give an example of how prayer has helped you or someone else.

Prayer has helped me in many ways, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. One example that comes to mind, I can recall being frustrated about circumstances on my job and asking God to provide me with a new one. After praying, I applied for multiple jobs, some in my field and some outside of my expertise, and waited for God to answer. At this point, it was clear that I simply wanted out. For this reason, I attended job interviews and received job offers; however, there was always something that made me hesitant to move forward with my decision. Also, during this period, I asked God to show me his purpose for my life. It wasn’t until recently that God spoke to me in prayer and confirmed that he wanted to use me in my current job and would only release me in His timing. I can’t say that I wasn’t initially disappointed; however, I quickly recalled my prayers concerning my purpose and knew that this was God answering my request. Although I wanted a new job, I wanted God’s will for my life more.

    T.R.’s Prayer for someone today:

My prayer today is that something I have expressed in my testimony will touch someone’s life and speak to their situation, causing them to seek God in prayer and trust his response.

    God Bless, T.R.
